Dr. Shawn Landry
Founder
As Founder of QBE, Dr. Shawn Landry has more than 17 years of experience in the information technology industry and government contracting. Early in his career, he established a team of highly capable engineers, architects and leaders who have collaborated with him ever since. In 2008, Dr. Landry and his leadership team founded QBE to explore new areas of opportunity within the Department of Defense (DoD). Over the last decade, his team has solved mission-critical challenges affecting large organizations, federal agencies and U.S. citizens.
Dr. Landry has been instrumental in creating technology vision briefings for the Department of the Army PEO EIS and CIO G6, providing critical insight on the future of the technology industry roadmaps, and strategic initiatives. He was also the Chief Architect for the U.S. Army Information Technology Agency’s Data Center Directorate. Previously, Dr. Landry worked for General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) and served as their Chief Technologist. He received his B.S. in Computer Science from Johnson and Wales University, his Masters of Science in Information Science from Regis University, and his Doctoral of Science in Computer Science from Colorado Technical University.
Michael J. Marsden
President
As President for QBE Mike has responsibility for sales and QBE’s operational infrastructure. Business strategy, sales and support structure are the principle focus areas for Mike and his team. Mike has over 20 years’ experience in leading sales, sales operations and service organizations for global information technology companies.
Prior to joining QBE, Mike worked for EMC Corporation leading sales for its DoD Pentagon Program business. During that period, Mike developed the direct sales strategy and the channels of distribution that resulted in total revenue contribution exceeding $100M. Mike also spent four years at Avaya (Telecommunications) as Sales Vice President for Avaya’s State, Local and Education Sector. Instituting the strategy, sales and marketing organization and channels of distribution for its public sector coverage model, Mike’s team achieved annual revenues of $180M. Before joining Avaya Mike spent 12 years with StorageTek. He developed and implemented the sales and marketing organization for StorageTek’s State, Local and Education Sector. Mike graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Management and a minor in English, Magna Cum Laude.
Keith Allen Lowry
Vice President
Keith Lowry as Vice President has over 18 years of experience as an Information Technology Systems Engineer. As the principle liaison and lead architect on many government contracts, Keith works well at the executive level. For the past eight years, he has been in a lead management role operating large teams of engineers to meet critical deadlines.
Keith was the lead Storage Architect for the Army Information Technology Agency Data Center and a principle lead in the design and architecture of the Basement Consolidated Server Room (BCSR) in the Pentagon. He has been instrumental in developing the Enterprise Fibre Channel Architecture for the Pentagon, briefing key decision-makers and management boards. In addition to his executive role, Keith currently manages and serves as the engineering lead for PdM APC, QBE’s largest customer, overseeing a number of Army Enterprise initiatives. Keith knows how to take a large number of business and technology requirements and synthesize a solution to meet the needs of his customers. He is also adept at efficiently communicating complex solutions to all relevant stakeholders.
