QBE Wins $4 Million Task Order to Support U.S. Army Cloud Computing
Leader in technology consulting continues to support on cloud computing projects
WASHINGTON, May 1, 2012 — Quality Business Engineering, a leading management and technology consulting organization for the federal government and defense community, today announced it has been awarded a $4 million task order to support the U.S. Army’s expanding cloud computing initiatives.

During the 18-month task order contract, QBE will provide cloud computing architecture and engineering services as well as a state-of-the-art proof-of-concept laboratory to the Army’s Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services and Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems organizations.
Dr. Landry anticipates that QBE’s design and engineering solution for a new Army cloud computing architecture will play a critical part in supporting ALTESS, an organization undergoing rapid change in its effort to prepare for a surge of enterprise-hosting requirements. The initiative is driven by Army leadership in an effort to improve efficiency and maintainability of all computing services Army-wide while reducing overall costs and complexity.
QBE has provided IT solutions to ALTESS for the past three years. Projects have included providing ALTESS with business and technology consulting services, helping to configure the consolidated physical and virtual infrastructure and developing a new service catalog.
